Live On Home Cooking

Beginner-level cooking workshops for adults with diabetes

Experience HHDC's Chickasaw Nation Teaching Kitchen, and learn simple ways to modify your cooking for better health. Sessions are led by Certified Diabetes Educators and Registered Dietitians. Availability is limited to the first 20 adults who enroll for the series.

Each session provides:

  • Narrated demonstration with Q&A
  • Healthful recipes you can practice in your own kitchen with minimal ingredients and fuss
  • Tips on planning your meals
  • Guidance on seasonal foods and cooking methods
  • Free samples of foods prepared

Sessions begin at 2:00pm and last about one hour each.

Eligibility Requirements

When you enroll for Live On Home Cooking!, be prepared to commit to all six sessions in the series. You must be either a patient in our Adult Clinic (any patient service) or enrolled in PreventT2 for diabetes prevention.

This program is offered at no cost to participants, thanks to the generous support of HHDC donors and partners.
